From 1980 - 1983 it seemed like almost everyone in the camp had a tshirt or button with it on it

It's interesting that "Raspberry Beret" was recorded during the 1999 album sessions.I wonder if this early version (demo) sounds more like the other songs recorded during that period,as opposed to the way it sounds a few years later on ATWIAD.

I don't know why,but back in 1983,I never heard "Let's Pretend We're Married" on the radio at all.Kinda strange considering it was the follow-up single to "Delirious",which did extremely well.I also never saw the video until just a few years ago! I wonder if the song was perhaps too racy for Top 40 radio.

That would be interesting, Mia Bocca as well. What could these songs have sounded like in 1982...
But listening to the Family before and after songs like Feline Nothing Compares 2 U Screams of Passion Desire etc from a rock/PR era sound 2 the 'Parade' era sound opens a wide door to what they could sound like

Initial tracking took place on 9 May, 1982 at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA (seven days after Automatic).
The baby cooing sound effect used at the very end of "Delirious" is sampled from the 1966 Perrey and Kingsley song "Countdown at 6".
Delirious I get delirious whenever U're near Cuz I get delirious I get delirious when U hold my hand I get delirious, yeah I get delirious whenever U're near I'm delirious (Delirious) {x5} © 1982 Controversy Music - ASCAP

Still my favorite Prince album and the one that made me a fan. There's not a song on it I dislike except maybe for "Delirious".

OUTTAKE
Turn It Up is an unreleased song recorded on 20 January, 1982 at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA (the day after Wild And Loose, and eight days before resuming the Controversy Tour). The song was planned for inclusion on 1999, but was removed when Prince recorded Delirious, which Prince viewed as a similar track.

The funny thing for me was that this was my favorite jam for the longest time (Automatic a close second) - when I finally saw that there was a LPWM music video, I just about died
