Overall though, really enjoying the album. I made sure not to listen more than once or twice to any of the previously released tracks and so that helps. Jump in and serve up your order.

1. RockNRoll Loveaffair (super catchy)

2. Screwdriver (one of his best rock tracks - love it)

3. Big City (love the whimsical feel)

4. Black Muse (brilliant, reminds me of TRC-era)

5. Look At Me (great track)

6. Stare (funky)

7. Xtraloveable (best horn arrangement in a P song since Billy Jack Bitch)

8. Revelation (I like this, very etheral and dreamy)

9. 2Y2D (nice track, if a little throwaway)

10. Baltimore (quite like it, better than the previously released version)

11. When She Comes (kinda indifferent to this one)

12. Groovy Potential (not fussed on this one at all)

Overall, I think it's a solid album and one of the rare post-00s Prince albums that you can play from beginning to end without diving to the skip button.

Thanks for the suggestion (and not locking this thread, I guess). But please, moderators: don't kill Prince.org by over-organizing things. It sucks the life out of this message board, along with some of these non-moderators (regular members) that feel the need to enforce the 'Org rules' on us whenever they can.

I liked the Org much better when it was more unorganized, way more sponaneous and fun!

This is judging the album on its own merits, not comparing to older Prince material. I really enjoy listening to Phase 2 and I don't have to skip which is a delight!

I like 2 songs on Phase 2, only..

1. Groovy Potential

The rest sucks imo, the sound is awful "dated", oldfashioned, dry, downwatered, diluted....

Thank God the old music from the man isn't boring like this album, or else I would never had become a fan... 2/10 to Phase 2.. worst album since Kamasutra, Xpectations, NEWS... etc...
