I feel like this cover wouldn't suck if he actually said the word "creep" in it. Radiohead should cover "Kiss" but then not say the word "kiss."

Awesome cover. Incredible solos. Hate to say it, I know it's subjective blah blah, all opinions are fair blah blah but whomever doesn't like has shit taste in music.

So what exactly is the reason Prince was 'forced' into posting the video? Radiohead may own the song but they don't own Prince's performance of that song and therefore cannot 'force' Prince to do anything. Radiohead has no say here as this is not a reproduction of the song on record. What in the world is the legal premise? 'You sang our song so post it or we'll sue? That makes sense to anyone? An artist owns their physical performances too regardless of who's song they are singing. Lol but they 'forced' him all right.

Yeah, I've never understood the love for this. Little Red Corvette from the same shows kicks Creep's ass.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Try covering a Prince song, putting it on youtube and see how far this reasoning will get you. wink

I like it. It's not the be all and end all...but its good.

Im just saying this cuz I happened to see a tweet about the vid on Trevor guy's twitter. Saying summin about in almost being at a million views. I had never bothered to think how many times it was viewed. So I clicked the mini YouTube link to check, and watch the video again...but it was shut down again due to NPG copyright claims.

Just let some shit b Prince...damnit.

Prince used to do covers in the 80's and 90's that were worthwhile listening to and in some cases better than the original!!!

Now that he tries to re-invent them, they are just woeful!! barf

Radiohead can do whatever they want with their music, I just find it a little odd considering how their front man Thom Yorke thinks of YouTube

"I certainly do not use YouTube," Yorke told La Repubblica. He explicitly called the company out for not paying artists or only paying them "small sums," even though the service runs advertisements before music videos play.

“They make money from the work of artists who do not get any benefit," Yorke said (according to the translation). "Service providers make money: Google, YouTube. A lot of money. ‘Oh, sorry, was it yours? Now it's ours. No, no, we are joking, it is always yours.’ They seize it. It’s like what the Nazis did during the Second World War. Actually, they all did that during the war, the British, too—steal the art from other countries. What’s the difference?”
