Apart fom Extraloveable, classic song missing from Phase Two is ... ... In A Large Room With No Light (2009).
I want to have my favorite songs see a proper release on a proper album, in a spot that it earns. I'm glad songs like Extraloveable, 1,000 Hugs & Kisses, etc. are getting a second life, but I wouldn't want them to pass by as left over cyber singles ...
In A Large Room ... would have fit Phase Two perfectly. Anyone agrees?
Are there any other songs you think would fit on anyone of the Phases? ...

Even tho a lot of the music is a huge fail .. I admire the prince marketing scheme of late
I believe warner is working with tidal and if we read the clues right .. this is all lead up to pr remasters
phase 3 should be a lot of updated lovesexy outtakes .. in a large room and if i could get ur attention would make sense on that record
my fear is that the phase 4 will be updated versions of pr outtakes .. it seems p is not ready to give us the originals in pristine .. i can understand that but it still makes me sad
but clearly there has been a shift .. i myself have been spending a the last couple years sifting through my own vault and preparing my own grand release .. it takes a real fucking long time .. and with p being handed a cush record deal at age 17 .. he likely has more material to dig through .. i think that was what he was doing during his years off
now we are getting the songs he fixed up finally .. i mean how many years has it been since we heard a polished gem like 1000 hugz .. he was so anti that for a long time .. i am now seeing p vids online .. tons of them ..
was he just waiting for his masters so wb would not get all the money from the promotion .. probably ... i see tidal as throw away promotion .. give us your work but put in some old tunes so that the record sells .. lead us up to the remasters and then BAM unload that shit
should be called purple rain unloaded .. just bring it all out like its a delivery truck with 1000 packages ...
it is great to see prince embrace great old tunes like large room no light .. it is also great that he is listening to songs from a time when the bar was set high .. maybe he will see the contrast and apply the old standard of excellence to his newer work

I totally love that version (better than the bootleg original in fact) but I'm not sure if it'd have fit in Phase Two, because it has that distinctive Blackwell/Smith/Neto vibe which was a bit different from the 2011-2015 sound with the hornheadz back on board and all, but IDK, maybe if it'd had been in there I'd have found it flows perfectly with the rest. I'd certainly love it to be included in an album anyway. Phase Two was more soul-funk overall than jazzy: if one of the (assumed) three left phases is jazzier, it could probably blend in perfectly I'm pretty unhappy with those orphan songs floating in my drive, because the consequence is I hardly ever listen to them. I'd really like to have them included in albums in the future, so I can enjoy them more often. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

More like a remake of We Can Work It Out titled We Can't Work It Out, and ending with the line "Making a fuss naturally, me and WB" A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

It is probably going to be on Phase 3, the one with the Lovesexy era cover. Be patient, I am sure Prince is listening and he just wants to get some interest and love going. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
