Prince Takes CREEP Cover Off YouTube Once Again

So a few days ago he has his people take down the EBONY interview as he claims it was "off record"... Now the NPG made a copy right claim to the recent Radiohead song, Creep he performed, even though he allowed it back up tweeting the link on his twitter only to be gone again by copyright claim...

Is Prince losing it? Is he taking things to far with all this issues of control?

A couple of questions:

Has there been a day since 1996 when someone didn't think Prince was losing it?

Since when is Prince not taking things "too far"?

Is this the Prince is Over thread of the day?

No it's more of how he allowed the CREEP performance a few weeks ago then now it's gone because of a copyright by NPG... I mean... That's just crazy.

Fans get upset over the Contol Issues only when it's not to their benefit.
Prince as an artist has every right to control his art.

This control tho, is preventing us from enjoying the Vault--and that is what is really sticking in everyone's craw. It's starting to come down to "crunch time" with the Vault in terms of market.

Plus we're watching an artist we enjoy & respect tarnishing his legacy and reputation with his control issues and obsessive love for $.

I don't think this is all headed for a happy ending.

Gonna change the title and topic. I want to discuss on why

Prince allowed the CREEP cover version on YouTube, tweeted the link then today he made an NPG Copyright claim about it.

It's not a very good song, no matter who does it. IMO anyway. Sorry for those that like this song.

You like what you like, it's nice. But it's a renowned modern classic by people around the world. You are a nice tiny itsy bitsy minority on this.

Prince's take on it is amazing. When he performed it, people in attendance there and critics all felt as I do about it.

It doesn't surprise me that some here don't like it. I mean this is a place with very diverse tastes. Some here even like MPLsound and AOA. Yikes!

What people do not realize is that it's not like Prince himself roams YT signaling his own videos. He has people being paid for that and they don't follow P's Twitter account to see what's been endorsed. One of those guys fell on the vid and asked for deletion, that's it.

Maybe it's a Radiohead track but the recording still belongs to NPG Records: Prince is within his right.

Prince is just continuing all the antics that members like myself and Bart has been saying about him for years. Is it any wonder why he finds himself largely an forgotten legend? Prince serves as an cautionary tale of what happenes when arrogance and love of money does to creativity. He lost friends, lovers, his fans, his legend. He only has himself to blame.

in the car i put the volume to the max and played on the sterring wheel singing my head off good times, good times!

i did that with most of his songs though they pump me before work and calm me after there is a song for every mood and i will love Prince's music until the day i die and even then there are instructions to play his music!!!

As long as we keep our luv strong we'll never shed no tears
