It surprises me that people love this track. I just can't get into it. I guess everyone has different tastes - this sounds more like an NPS track than one for an acoustic album, I think.
Not that The Truth is really an acoustic album, though. ONA was more acoustic, although there were synths even on that album... Even taken away from the album context, I don't like it. I dig the song for all it's kinkiness...it is cool and reminds me of an early eighties era Prince. His voice is great and it is funky if you really listen to it...it makes my head bob! | |
