So-called fans are such pathetic and deluded people... Stop projecting what you would like to happen and what SHOULD happen, and stop pretending to know what other people and general fans think of Prince. And most of all, stop pretending to know what needs to happen for Prince to regain his status. He has his status, he is in a great place in his life and making great music. Try to enjoy it, otherwise go play fantasy musician manager on a computer game.

. Status? As an oldies act perhaps. He doesn't really play the great music he made the past decade or more. (remakes do not count) One one side he mentions 'so maby hits' yet plays the same stuff over and over in short multiple-shows-per-night sessions. On the other side he never plays these other hits. Sans sampler. In full. These other songs can also hit fans' hearts. Yet he runs around in circles. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

1 THING is graved on the stone....Prince does not care about what we write ...what we say & what we want.....he does care of himself only & what he wants!

Eye can't wait till gets the MEGA deal that he is dreaming of! Then it'll shut all the naysayers up on here that bitch & complain on here on a daily basis. It's really getting old and tired. is going to do what HE wants regardless. Eye will support him in whatever decision he makes. It is NO artist as gifted and better. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

. Please do not forget to breathe in between decades. Princebonics are for fams. Prince is no longer called the symbol he chose. And if even the Prince man is dreaming of the deal then it is just like the American dream: you have to be asleep to believe it. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Mine too. If the catalog gets remastered by todays standards it won't sound good. Comparing the Led Zeppelin remasters from the early 90s with the ones they released this year, the earlier ones sound much better. The standard today includes cranking the levels past the point of distortion. Ouch! All I'm interested in is a nice collection of extras and it doesn't sound like Prince wants to give us that so, whatever... My vinyl sounds excellent and I know how to use my volume control and my EQ for the CDs. I'm good. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

It puts the lotion in the basket. "...and If all of this Love Talk ends with Prince getting married to someone other than me, all I would like to do is give Prince a life size Purple Fabric Cloud Guitar that I made from a vintage bedspread that I used as a Christmas Tree Skirt." Tame, Feb

Or the Stevie Wonder remasters from around 2000 or so. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

. They didn't. They got exactly what they aimed for: a long and exclusive lock on his 1980s catalogue. If they'd get remastered and expanded versions of PR et al: bonus. . The reality is that no company is going to handle Prince's back catalogue unless that includes his classics from the 1980s. No company gives a shit about anything he's done post-1995, perhaps even post-1991 or even post-1987. © Bart Van Hemelen

Beatles had WAY more hitz. Beatles did mot degrade their legacy image or brand by releasing 20 toilet water albums driving each and every loyal fan away . To be fair, McCartney did try. And some of Lennon's output is rather dire. . Beatles never sued thier fans. . Actually they did. Sued fans recently WRT tapes from some of the album sessions. . But overall they don't behave likes asses. And thus they can now release a remastered(!) edition of one of their many compilations and sell a massive amount of copies, because plenty of people will buy a deluxe box set of #1s (or whatever it's called) because the damn thing is actually worthwhile. . Meanwhile Prince is shelling overpriced FLACs through some failing streaming service. © Bart Van Hemelen

(It is a delight. I'd previously had the Ryko editions, and these discs are much livelier than those. For instance, I'd never really 'got' Soul Love before, but here it just blew my freaking mind. It's a bit thin on extras [only formally released rarities are here], but it sounds great, and it's beautiful! )

Back on topic: Prince is foolish because he's not capitalizing on a pivotal moment for him. He's oddly hip right now. Invited to awards ceremonies. Talked about by the media in mostly positive ways. Getting praise for crap like Baltimore. Etc etc. It wasn't like this in the late 90s. He was a joke back then. Now, nothing is going to make his reissues sell as many copies as the Beatles' reissues. But the man needs to strike while the iron is hot. Who knows how long this relative honeymoon with the general public is going to last? To the extent that Prince could rake in tons of cash anymore (again, I'm under no illusion that he can sell like Taylor Swift or Adele!) he should engage in a sustained remaster program and tour (like a real tour with planned dates with advance notice), ideally under a cynical "last time I'll play these hits (again)" thing. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"
