Prince a pioneer? He mixed things up in a great way, and he will be remembered for a few great albums and songs. He released about one good song this century - Revelation, which isn't exactly breaking new ground; he no longer has much to say musically. (I know that a lot of people are mostly interested in his hair or ass or girlfriends instead of 'who created the groove', guitar parts ad bass liines - but those are the things I'd like to read about in the liner notes on the never forthcoming remasters/Greatest Hits.)
