considering hes always been experimental and took chances, having someone else produce him is a big chance and experiment. so no... i never really thought it couldnt happen.

Why do you freak out so bad when Prince releases something you don't like? You just said the two albums before HNR phase 2 were good. What is there to be in crisis about? Prince is such a prolific artist it's obvious that he'll release something you like again.

I do remember, LOL. And Phase 1 was proof that Prince was right about producing himself all those years!

A good rule of thumb: Feeling the need to regularly point out your genius tends to indicate that you don't fit the bill.

He was right in the sense that letting a first time amateur prodcucer like Josh Welton produce your album is going to result in a turd. Prince is so stupidly talented that I can only imagine what the result would be if he let someone equally talented in prodcuing produce an album with him.
