I am a long time fan. I am biased...tend to give Prince more than enough listens to like even the most unlikable tracks:) I think he always a few gems on every album (this could be us, Another Love, ) and occasionally puts out a mostly satisfying album like Lotus Flower. However, I have to say this release is different. It is CONISTENTLY great througout. He seems to have focused and chosen songs that hand well together and are great on their own. As many have said, Revelation really did blow me away. It has all the Princities that we love...odd and beautiful vocal delivery. Understated but effective guitar ...the guy hits every mark with this one.

I have said it before but I think this time it is very accurate, he has released his best album in many man years. I think the last albums I loved this much were Rainbow Children and Lotus Flower. the latter was probably b/c of the awesome guitar lines/solos and the former b/c they were great songs...just did not care for the msg.

This time, i love it all the way through and am looking forward to playing it through from start to end. I have barely listended to Phase 1...I thought it was a tremendous let down. He has come roaring back.
