My second favorite behind "Revelation". I agree that it reminds me of TRC (in a good way). It's an excellent song all-around, especially that bassline I could listen to forever.

Great song. I hear elements of Steve Wonder, Return To Forever, Dream Factory and Hiatus Coyote.

I am hearing TRC here, which should be a good thing but I am not feeling this yet. I don't know, it sounds a bit plain or monotone in the sense that it does not go high and low, just sits in the middle and then it fizzles out. Sure, there are some nice colours and warmth here, but it does not excite me. What a bummer! I had so high hopes for this one after all the praises. Well, it might grow on me yet.

Currently, I took out Baltimore, Big City and Screwdriver from the playlist and replaced them with Free yourself, If I could get your attention and 1000 x & o, and Black Muse is hanging in there by a thread...

I will pop on my headphones and give another chance.

The best song on the Phase II behind revelation. Truly a track that was originally concieved around TRC. The way how the song changes direction is one of the reasons I love Prince! Such an uplifiting song and I cannot wait to hear this LIVE with Revelation!

Yes. I am not the only one to recognise the "Last December" music in Black Muse.

This song is part Songs in the Key of Life, part TRC, part Sign of the Times, and more. So many styles being played in harmony together and it's fantastic. I love it....

How does this compare to the live version that was played (once?) on the Welcome 2 America tour?
