Wow. Judith Hill's performance was incredible. Logged on not expecting much but really enjoyed it. Also made me realise how much I dislike TV performances with their ridiculously short performance times. This was 2 songs with space to breathe and stretch out. Brilliant. |

Agreed. She made the most of that set. I'm sure no one left there without knowing who she was. She blew it away. Change it one more time.. |

What a joke. What kind of power do you have when your blatently commercial record sells a few thousand copies? Please remind me: how many "best of 2015" lists does HitNRun feature on? © Bart Van Hemelen

It does seem like a screwy list - Jada Pickett Smith made the list and so did her two kids but not Will Smith. What a joke. |

The Ebony Power list honor people from walks of life who use their power by way talent, platform and resources to raise awareness about initiatives to help the Black community and preserve its institutions. Musicians, educators, activists, businesspeople were also on the list. But I guess logic is hit and miss with you. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR |

He's just mad he hasn't been honored yet... Bart is still in his little apartment in Europe counting his mediocre vinyl collection. |

they have different categories..For the record , Ebony is an urban magazine and frankly, if you arent ensconsed in urban issues you probably wouldnt undertand...This is not a knock btw...Prince still holds major sway, power etc int he urban area..He is the kid that has done well and uses his influence to champion causes, be it Together We Code with Van Jones or the Baltimore Rally |

This ^^^^ is the shit I'm talking about right here....
It never occured to u that Ebony cited Prince for the activism he was involved in for the family of Freddie Gray, right? For the concert he gave in Baltimore. For the money he raised. They even made that point in their write up.....
Once again, Bart has to be the smartest guy in the room....
Shit is despicable.......Not everything has to be a hate fest, dog....I could really go totally SNARK and say Black Lives don't matter for BartVanHemelen....But that would be cheap as hell....
The question though: Why r u so Cot Damn miserable?

Absolute bullcrap.
I'm laughing my azz off at the image of young brothas sitting around the tv like 'Prince is one of us. He went from the block, to the... ' I just can't picture it.
Aging industry execs, who remember Prince's 2 years of popularity in the early 80's, want a chance to add their name to Prince's story. That's all that's going on. If MJ were around, for example they wouldn't think twice about Prince. If Marvin Gaye were alive they'd never acknowledge Prince. Prince is just a good 'get', by default, because he's pretty much all that's left from that time.

OK..who said anything about young kids saying Prince is like them...Does Philantropic endeavors for the black community date back to the early days of his career when he helped marva collins with one of the first charter schools for blacks in America..And secondly, he is the kid that has done well.. He dont have no demons the others you mentioned have/had which is why they aint here |

All of those things were about Prince looking for some cheap publicity and everybody fell for it. Go on, show me his enduring care about those issues... Oh wait, there isn't anything. © Bart Van Hemelen

Man....what the hell is wrong with you? Like for real. Do you have that much trolling ass hate in your heart?
What the fuck would ayone have to show you? WHO R U??????
People on the Ebony power list were picked for what they did in 2015....Not some "enduring care" as u so arrogantly put it....The man gave a concert for the family of Freddie Gray and the Baltimore charities....The only high profile music act to do so. Gave his time and energy and money. Performed, ect....
Hit N Run sucking/selling like bricks has nothing to do with Prince giving back to the black community......
What have u done for people???????? Like for real.
Bart, u doing waaay too much....I'm not one to flame. But I'm coming seriously close to that shit.

See this^^^^ folks.....
Remember when I was joking around acting like a delusional, meta asshole, wacked out of my mind, uber troll? And some people actually took it seriously and believed that shit?
I was actually doing a take on the likes of funksterr and Bart.....And it was dead-on, folks....
This shit is too easy..... |

Just to show how idiotic the trolling has gotten on the Org....
I even went a step above of Bart's and funk's usual bullshit and pushed the batshit crazy button (with the clinically insane line: "I KNOW WHAT'S BEST FOR PRINCE!!!!!")....And some folks still fell for it.....Because the Org has come to this.....
The Trolling has gone META now....
Think about it....Bart and funksterr are now complaining about an African-American muscian for being recognized by an African-American-aimed publication (Ebony) for his activism on behalf of African-American man who died tragically (and with much outrage) while in police custody. It was a simple gesture...Nothing that screams LOOK AT ME. Prince gave a concert; gave the proceeds to Baltimore community charities; spent time with the family of Gray and gave another voice to an ongoing issue that is being felt everywhere from LA to Chicago....
And what's their response? More rabid trolling....
Prince is not above criticism. I have my own issues with the man. But dude giving his time and energy to such a cause ain't one of them....I know when to shut the fuck up and keep it moving....
