What album was Prince destined to make? Not meaning his best album, but one he was born to make. For example, in an article I once read, it said that Emancipation was the album Prince was destined to make. I don't agree, but I always see threads about his best albums, and this might have been done before, but what is the one album he was put on this earth to make? What do you guys think? | |

He also said he was destined to make it..just more bullshit. But here's what he was destined to make 1. Dirty Mind 2. 1999 3. Purple Rain 4. SOTT 5. TRC Controversy is up in there somewhere "Climb in my fur." | |

At the time before Emancipation was released, I took that quote to mean it would blow us all away.
I now think he meant that in another sense; that this was his album that no-one else controlled. He chose the number of songs, the length. It was a mess, but it was completely his mess. I think he means he was meant to be in complete control, artistically and operationally. | |

I think he means he was meant to be in complete control, artistically and operationally. yes this is true..but it was still bullshit and he knew it...he wasn't destined to do Emancipation. Him having complete artistic control on legnth and material is not his destiny. His destiny was to go from a child with a troubled background and to rise up through the ranks as the "cool ruler" and Emancipation doesn't even come close to that. "Climb in my fur." | |

I think TRC cuz it's Prince and live music with no attempt at mainstream appeal. Plus, he supported the album with a kick-ass tour...a sign that be enjoys the music!
Additionally, the LIVE disk has TRC all over it. It's almost like he doesn't want TRC to fade away. | |

I think it's interesting that Prince said he was born to make 'Emanicpation' and 'The gold experience' but hardly performs them live. Maybe he should 'live' with them a but longer, before releasing them.
