Absolutely. I still remember the moment in 1996 when my feelings just changed about Prince after listening to a promo copy of Emancipation at a used CD store. It started off well but I found myself skipping tracks which I had never done on Prince albums before. The album was just so simple and flat sounding but I tried and tried to get into it. I still dig tracks like "The Holy River" tho.

My ride with Prince has been difficult at times but (almost) always interesting enough for me still to bother. He is a man of many faces and many talents and always has done things his way. He still comes with good new tunes from time to time, just not complete albums of them anymore. I have come to the point where I accept that he just 'does as he does' and I appreciate every good new song or good concert performance that I can get off him. RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Quite a few reasons. Keeping it simple, I'd say the biggest reason I still keep up with Prince is because of how his music makes me feel. No one else seems to write music that moves me as much as his does. When it comes to songwriting the man is a alchemist. Just as true in 2015 as it was in 1982. , And it's no 'bother'. I don't bother with Prince, I love what he creates.

Revelation answers the question. Amongst all the crap, you get this kings of gem every now and again, and it is all forgotten

. Sad to say, my interest in Prince's newer stuff has pretty much evaporated. I don't begrudge him doing his own thing and making the music he wants to make... it's just that he's not appealing to me anymore. . So I find myself keeping an eye on sites like The Org in order to find out if any jewels from what I consider to be his "Golden Era" ("1999" to "Batman") come tumbling out of the legendary Vault.

Wait is this a thing, or is it something you wish will get released in the future? I only have an AUD recording. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

Okay, I just heard "Revelation" in full and right now, that's why I still "bother" with Prince. Awesome!

Another Love, Marz, LotusFlow3r album, etc.; he's not going to let us get fat and spoiled and entitled — like during the 80's, but he gives us enough of a healthy diet of diverse brilliant thoughful music to keep us happy.
He's above pandering to bland pedestrian/corporatist tastes and is free to stay relevant and create at a level that far exceeds any of his contemporaries and most of his predecessors.
And his voice which by all metrics is remarkable: http://www.concerthotels.com/worlds-greatest-vocal-ranges

I have hope that he'll drop another album as musically interesting as TRC. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

He is one of the last living Icons and Legends. There aren't really to many of them living. That is why I will always go out of my way to see him live when I can and support. Despite his current so so music, he still a great live performer.

I like some of his new songs, but for the most part it's probably a connection from age 12 until now (I'm 35) that includes my favorite music by anybody, ever. My favorite filmmaker is almost 80 now, by favorite authors are mostly dead and all of my favorite painters and poets (art forms that seem to have peaked a long time ago) are long gone. I feel like I still bother with all of them anyway. Maybe that's not how the question was really meant, but that was my immediate feeling. My connection with art feels more emotional than linear to me, if that makes any sense.
