The song "God (Love Theme From Purple Rain)" is featured in the movie,but as an instrumental.


The character "Billy Sparks" is really named Billy Sparks in real life,so yes,he was playing himself.But he wasn't a bar owner,he was Prince's road manager at the time (I think).

I mentioned 'God' in another post. When Prince and Appolonia are getting it together, the instumental piece of music is 'God'. It's amazing and comes just after the crying girl loop. The vocal version is a b-side and is fairly awful.
I don't think the black girl in App 6 is too bad, but the blonde is a skank. I wonder what they are doing now.
The bloke who runs the bar's name is Billy Sparks. He's from Detroit.
I always thought that dez Deickerson song was called 'Mountain Bear'!! - Did Prince write/produce it??

dez dickerson is pretty awful, but the song has a certain charm to it. I personally like the God version with vocals. It's funny. a lot like other prince stuff.
