He lost his charisma and enigma near enough 2 decades ago, that now, nobody is really in awe of him anymore!! Very soon, he is going to be joining the likes of Billy Joel and Barry Manilow at some casino in Las Vegas!!"

How the man makes his $ to pay the bills is his prerogative as long it

is not illegal. Prince has been in the game for a long time now

to expect and accept that the spotlight will not shine on him forever.

Prince knows that he is a very talented individual and that he can explore

and has explored many ways to use his talent. In life we have success and

failures on many projects or ideas of our own.

Today, Prince is competing with young ones with hardly any talent at all.

They are imitating ideas from 'singers' like Madonna, when she uses

distractions/props or controversy to sell records. She is the most overrated

artist that I can think of at the moment.

Prince would have to mingle with the so called 'talent' of today, individuals

such as Miley, Nikki, Drake andthe list goes on and on..and you can

see that most of the singers today have to

degrade themselves to even be 'popular'. It's been a few artist that has had

success on mingling with the young artist..Uncle Charlie Wilson has been the last that

I can recall after making a hit with Snoop.

If you want Prince to do just that you would know he would definitely be

taking 100 steps backwards, let Prince continue moving forward with

HIS career. Prince is in a category all by himself and

at this moment, He can't compete or get the spotlight to shine on

him again for a long periods of time. Once the light shines on him it quickly

moves to a fake butt, fake hair,breast, lips, half naked woman or a 'fake thug'

or the Kartrashians. SO--

Lets stop beating a dead horse and take a time out

to smell the roses

and come back to reality. Let Prince be Prince and U be U.

I've been struggling every week for two years and a half to get this done, I'm really grateful this wasn't all for nothing

Now maybe we can have more threads about recording sessions, live shows, discography and interesting threads about P's career moves

Interesting post, whilst I totally respect your argument, I would offer a different view which, of course, is just my opinion also. All opinions, as I am sure you would agree, are subjective rather than objective.

Firstly from what I hearing (nothing official!) Prince willplay an hour on the Piano and an hour with a Band, so Funk may well make an appearance.

Secondly, the demand for Prince in the UK and many other place is still very high. There are not many artists who can announce a gig at 12pm and hav people Queuing for the best part of 8 hours to get it, I know as I was one of them!

Thirdly, record sales are simpkly different in the new era. Other than Disney and Adele is is incredibly rare to break the one million mark. Whilst with HitNRun Prince was paid through Tidal and so it is difficult to see how many cd's may have been sold. I would also have to add that once the very First CD or digital file drops the sales are hit heavily by Filesharing. Within Hours of HitNRun's release I saw the album being offered for free left, right and centre. Many people I meet simply say to me that they would never pay for music as they see it as being free. Personally, I love having the Cd and am more than willing to support an Artist I appreciate.

Finally, If Prince never played another note, or created an album a year but kept it to himself I couldn't really complain. If you had told me 25 years ago that Prince would still be creating music and Touring (especially if you asked me in 92-93 when he announced his 'retirement'!) I would have been enormously happy with that. In the last 2 years there have been 3 albums including a very electric sounding project, a guitar heavy tour with essentially 3 guitarists and a drummer and now a solo Piano tour.

After 37 years of chart successes and touring, I am more than happy if Prince simply enjoys himself now. Bearing in mind he is financially secure and seems to be happy, that's cool. Prince is still finding ways to be innovative.

Not to say you are totally wrong, however the science of the Third Eye cannot be ignored, and as a Prince fan you should already know Prince has been fighting "the system" to be independent over 20 years now; in that sense you would only be reaching.

Yup, Prince's whole third eye thing is really typical Prince. The third eye is commonly seen as very spiritual as it's the second chakra from the top (crown) chakra. Its common associated colour is also purple It's nothing to do with weird conspiracy theories lol, just the higher self.

Also, the whole attempt to connect the "Third Eye" thing to the Illumitati/Satanic conspiracy theory is incredibly laughable. Since the concept of the Third Eye is about opening of the soul to spiritual truths, many conspiracy theorists used it as a sort of code amongst themselves (as opposed to the "single" eye of Masonry, which is often associated with Illuminatus and NWO in their minds). "Opening the Third Eye" was often used to denote someone becoming aware of the conspiracies around us. (I love conspiracy theories, so I read up on them quite a bit. I don't believe in most of them...but they're still quite entertaining).
