Time Machine

 IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE & WANTED TO CHANGE SOMETHING IN PRINCE'S PAST...WHAT YEAR WOULD YOU GO TO? WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE? I would go back to 1990...the time during Graffiti Bridge. I would have stopped him from doing that horrible movie. Tony M.(wanna be rapper) would have never been working with him. That whole thing was one big joke.

I would have taken away his hit with "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World". This song being a hit gave Prince the illusion that he could have a hit w/o a monsterous publicity machine or record company behind him. He thought he could be successful comercially as an independent artist-and the truth is/was he can't. It isn't that he doesn't keep making great music-it is that when he is the only one who stands to make $$$ from his "hits" he is not going to have them. He has said himself that "purple Rain" was his biggest selling album because the most people stood to get paid for it. We fans already know that "puprle Rain" is not his all time best.
"New Power slide...."

The Rainbow Children would have stayed in the vault and never saw the light of day.

buist

The Rainbow Children was never in the vault (meaning that the songs on it were specifically made for the album).
