I remember when it came out- how much contempt I had for it. Now, after many years I feel it has better songwriting than almost anything Price has released since GE. Sure, the production is clunky at times but the songs are way more melodious than shite like HNR

Strongly disagree - it remains awful. What's "GE"?

Thats youre opinion. i think its decent not for everyone. we are all different , get it?

Come On, The One, and Wasted Kisses by themselves sounds better than anything he's released since! The rest of the album was utter trash, but those 3 songs are amazing!

Yes, you are right

really? better than Black Sweat, Dreamer or Everlasting Now? Get real

Am I the only one on here who loves Until Ur In My Arms Again..?

I hope so. It's so sappy, the melody reminds me of religious songs we used to sing in the bus while on a school trip when I was a kid. And that high pitched whooosh every four bars sounds like a sound effect from an early eighties Disney Special.

Yes, but kitsch has always been a thing with Prince.
He holds a record in shitty artwork (Emancipation, PE, CB...).
Paisley Park alone is a decorator's nightmare.

For me, TMBGITW is the ultimate champion of sappy, nothing gets close.
and yet it works. At the same time, I find "International Lover" really sophisticated.

I think there's a redeeming quality in "Until U're in my Arms Again",
and that is the Gregory subject.

OK, the mix balance is bad, especially in the ad-lib, it lacks a big fat solo,
but if you consider that the song might be about his lost child,
then all of sudden it's something else.

Black Sweat is great so is Everlating Now, musically, do not know about the lyrics.
