Love this!!! Funky, tight and playful with great bass and horns. Can I play it again?

I know this song has been around a little while, but I didn't have it until the albom came out. This is my favorite track on the album so far.

I dunno but after hearing this I am absolutely certain that I want unreal music by unreal musicians.
This is spray-on musicianship with no direction.
It's people playing with hands not heads.

The lyrics are by a cabbagehead that's been in the fridge too long.

Egad. This was beautifully constructed awfulness and that makes it TWICE as bad as it wanted to be.
And not in a good way.

I like that the fade out was edited so it doesn't go all the way out, *Psyche* like it did. Interesting once or twice but got old. Otherwise very funky tune. Love dat bass!

Hearing this in its proper fidelity makes it much better for me. When the bass line kicks in, it sounds like he's in the room with me plugged into an amp. It's also comforting to know he can still spit out Let's Work-level bass lines. music

FLAC compared to the ripped Spotify stream.

Only Tidal sells it in FLAC at the moment, but you have to buy both Phase 1 and 2 together.

Hmmm, I didn't like Phase One much at all. I'll wait it out until I can get just Phase Two in FLAC.

An incredibly funky reminder that Prince still "has it", when he wants to.

Luv the sound but once it hits the Kiss reference it loses direction.

Well.... This sounds like the guy that made Push It Up and Chocolate Box and that is definitely not meant to be a compliment. I can't stand it when he starts the heavy panting. The horns are just too much and the fade out that doesn't fade out is just a piss off. Prince has released worse though, so...

Although I really like this song, by no means I think it has hit potential. It sounds completely different compared to modern day pop music plus it doesn't have a proper hit chorus. It is just a great funk groove for lovers of funk.

Why does everyone want Prince to have a "hit" these days? Is it really important? Some of his best songs from his heyday were never "hits", and the majority of what is played on modern pop radio is utter shite. Who cares if this tune, or any other, is a top forty single? I'd much rather Prince do what he did with this album: put out cool grooves that real music lovers will appreciate. The charts are a load of crap anyway
