Diamonds & Pearls title track appreciation

Diamonds & Pearls has always been my favorite song ever razz and I know other fans who like it but I'd never met another who said it was her favorite until last weekend eek i was playing it at work and another employee there started telling me how her brother was a Prince fan and that's how she became one and that Diamonds & Pearls was also her favorite song yay! It kinda made me feel all mushy inside lol Okay....you may throw brick 's now lol Anyway, heart the song cool

My absolute least favorite track of all his "hits".

Everytime it comes on at work everybody thinks I (the Prince fan/freak) must be digging it.
But, no. I get more enjoyment from Jughead than from D&P.

Not trollin', just sayin'...

I love this song: nod

Diamonds & Pearls
is such a classic... such a beautiful song, very romantic.. music

1 of the last truly amazing 1990's-singles,

(with Gett Off, Cream, Insatiable, 7, Sexy MF, TMBGITW, I Hate U, Gold being some of the others).

Wow the first half of the 90's were just incredible, so many strong single releases.

I like the track but I dislike Rosie Gains profoundly, she's like fingernails down a chalkboard to my ears.

I liked this song when it came out,but for some reason,I can barely tolerate it these days. It's a good song, great lyrics/message...but it sounds so corny to me nowadays.

It's a masterpiece from the double kick drum at the start from classic Rosie Gaines vocals to the Beatles horn break.. Brilliant composition and outstanding arrangement... Songs like this will live on forever as an example of one of the greatest musicians that ever lived!
