. An even shittier version of an already shitty song complete with the amateur wannabe Soundcloud DJ editing and effects Josh seems to love now. It's funny how he made "better" (using the term loosely) beats when he simplified them (WAY BACK HOME, for example), rather than overdoing it.

Ah fair enough, nice to see another fan of the tune (crappy intro excepting, which seems to be pretty much universally hated. Ah well, easy enough to do an edit to remove it even with my limited Audacity skills.) Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

ufoclub said: Is there a remix available? Sounds like the Rick Rubin remix of jay Z's "99 problems".

I thought Rick Rubin produced the original version of "99 Problems" and that shit and that video are COOL.
Personally I really like the original "PretzelBodyLogic" (if the intro chant acapella chant was cut) and think it's of his more successful forays into catchy pop rock then many others that seem beloved with the fans. It has a Joan Jett "Rock n Roll" pop vibe to it, and the arrangement and vocal patterns are good to my ears.
Just hate that it started acapella.
If this remix sounds like 99 Problems, I'm going to love it. Just last week I was wishing that Prince would work with Rick Rubin on some remixes, or a secret side album. No kidding. Just last week. [Edited 10/19/15 17:48pm] My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

Haven't heard it yet as I cancelled the tidal thing already, but, these remixes really should have been part of the promotion for the albums the trax were originally on. They just seem throwaway at this point. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

Its not bad. I would prefer the chorus be treated differently, but with this type of song its probably hard to remix. I can jam to this though if im drinking.. Change it one more time..

I kind of agree, which makes it an ideal purple pick for when he's got nothing else to put out. I'd rather have a Josh v KirkyJ remix of Jughead than some random track we've had for ages, or a track from some other artist. RIP

This really is shite. I actually love the original version (minus the horrible intro) always have. This though, is pure unadulterated garbage. Stop fucking about and give us some real music again ffs

A josh remix of jughead. That would be fantastic! Was there not a version of PBL with Kendrick Lamar rapping on it? Where's that? . As a remix I quite like this. Remember hearing those keyboard bits on live versions earlier this year and thought they woulda sounded nice on the original. Still think they would mind! . Still would cut off my right nadger for extended versions he used to do for maxi singles / 12 inches. Comin str8 outta Preston...

It is almost impossible to ruin Prince's brand, which is very high quality music. He is managing to tarnish his brand with the recent lowbrow output. Prince, ypu are better than this. You can still mentor young artists and not dwell on 1984 without dipping the standard for music that has your name on it.
