Wait a minute, I'm paying for TIDAL now? I signed up for the free trial to listen to the new album. It auto-renewed this month, and I am not sure if I want to cancel. SO basically I am paying $9 bucks a month to listen to Prince CD's that I already own but too lazy to upload them to my computer. ______________________________________________

Yep. They all use the same trick. This is how I got signed up for Dutch newspaper NRC for half a year instead of the three month extra cheap test period I agreed to. Oh well, it was a good newspaper. Read the small print (online also)! [Edited 10/14/15 11:53am]

I've paid for one month as well, partially becasue I've been too lazy to cancel the service, but I've also been kind of enjoying it on my walks, jogs and workouts. I'm not mad that they're getting a months fee for the service. I will probably cancel after this month though. |

Do some people really only ever listen to Prince?
You have a wealth of Music at your finger tips with this kind of service. |

Sadly yes alot of people here only listen to Prince. The bad thing on top of it is they complain about everything he does that is after the 90s so it is even sadder than you think!! It cracks me up sometimes |

I'm confused, have you come to the end of your trial period and still have stuff available? My oflline content stopped being available shortly after the trial ended because the app wouldn't do the log in. RIP |

It must be very tiring being you, what with all those tiring complaints you keep coming accross. So far, number of replies 17, number of complaints 1 (yours). |

You obviously weren't aware you could cancel 5 minutes after signing up and you'd still get the free month. |

yes, My trial period is over (10 days now), i just checked and indeed. All my offline material is still playable on my phone app. It does not login. Only if i try music, i did not make available offline, then i get a message, that i don't have a subscription, so i cannot stream of obtain new music anymore. |

Blimey! My phone app said my session had expired and logged me out even though I only had it set for offline playback. RIP |

I couldn't justify paying for it again, I have pretty much all the albums digitally and a 128gb iPhone with all on.
iTunes Music is a much better service it just lacks any Prince, which is a shame.
The Hi-Fi music only really means anything to people who have High quality music systems or Monitors. The average person listening on a pair of crappy iPhone earphones wont know the difference.
It's more of a Gimic the Hi-Fi sound to people who dont actually understand that they are not really hearing the benefit.

Yeah, there's a fierce debate about whether HD digital files are much better (or better at all) than a high-quality compressed file. I've tried many times to differentiate between HD files and 320 Kbps MP3s, and I just can't tell the difference. I have a pair of Sennheiser 580 (?) headphones, a pair of sweet Harmon Karden (sp) headphones, and a decent digital audio converter. On a very small number of songs I feel like I can almost hear a difference. The HD downloads on Tidal are its real draw to me. But I know I'd just be sitting there like an asshole trying to convince myself I could hear better quality in the files. That being said, if I had really nice equipment, Tidal would be my streaming service of choice. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Yeah, there is definatley a benefit there for a small proportion of people, but for 99% probabaly wouldnt know the difference whilst paying more for it than another service

I'm puzzled as to why this thread is still here. It's still got nothing to do with Prince and everything to do with the OP not paying attention to what he/she was getting into. |

I know what I was getting into, I just think its funny that I like the convenience of all those albums streaming on my phone and car hookup. I have all the Prince cd's, just haven't uploaded all of them yet and not enough storage to keep them on my phone anyway. I wonder why he doesn't have the Gold album on Tidal? ______________________________________________
