Help me figure out what concert this is from... A track came up randomly on my iPod yesterday that I'd never heard before, and I'm having trouble tracking down info on it. It's from the "Not Bad For a Girl" boot, and it sounds like it's from a Sheila E show, and Prince comes up on stage and they perform Girls & Boys and Holly Rock together. It's the only clip that I've ever heard where Prince does the entire lyrics to Holly Rock, rather than just a couple of line. If I had to guess, I'd say it's from the mid- to late-80s, based on the instrumentation. This guest appearance by Prince isn't listed on Princevault.
So help me out, Prince experts-- what concert is this from?

Was that from an after show or the tail end of a Sheila E concert? I've have it. It's very minimal, right? Like almost just drums and guitar? My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

This is the one: . http://www.princevault.co...July,_1985 . 7th St. Entry at First Avenue. Not a guest spot but a spontaneous appearance of the two. Free the music.

So it's just bass and drums? Interesting. I'm a fan of Cloreen B. Is this similar? [Edited 10/11/15 4:03am] The wooh is on the one!

Just check out "Purple Rush Vol. 6" (SAB #354–359), for example, and you will find both on there … that 7th St. Entry appearance from 11 July 1985 and also Prince’s 8-minute surprise performance of Cloreen Bacon Skin from First Avenue, 16 May 1983. Free the music.

It would most likely be from a Parade era show Sheila E and a few band members would sometimes join Prince's show and sometimes Prince or Prince and a few band members would join Sheila's show
.
Prince also lead the vocals on HollyRock during his 6.7.1985 Birthday show/Masquerade Ball . Since a lot of records of Sheila E and other protege shows were not kept well(it seems) we might not be able to tell what show.
