Good bit of news for the vinyl collectors- Prince's excelllent 2009 album LotusFlow3r is apparently seeing a reissue on vinyl next month.

The original pressing was (I believe) limited to 2000 copies and has become quite pricey in recent years. I have an OG pressing but it has become a bit beaten up over the last 6 years so i'm looking forwards to getting a nice clean copy for the collection!

Hoping that it will be a 2LP pressing of the LotusFlow3r album as it was rather squashed on a single disc and the sound was not quite as full as it could have been (although it does sound great.) Would much rather have this than for it to include the MPLSound album as I thought it was really weak compared to its companion. Let's not mention Elixir.

Agreed! Even though I have the double LP of Lotus/MPLS, I would double dip for a double LP of the single album spread over 4 sides. It would sound SO much better!

I got it in 2009. It's been played once - so still mint. That'll do me.

I really like the artwork on this one. Artwork looks so much better on a large format.

I got mine new and sealed from Amazon when it was first released.

As I had the CD my vinyl is still sealed and untouched.

According to goldmine's defintion: Near mint maybe but mint no...

Mint is pristine vinyl, never played and pref sealed in sleeve.

Interesting that Because.fr are listing a single LP as well as a 2LP release.

I wonder whether the single pressing will be MPLSound like the 2009 release?

They released MPLSound on CD and vinyl in france as well as the separate 3CD/2LP releases of Lotus,MPLSound (and Elixer on CD). It would be cool to have a single Lotus LP.

Hey, I preordered it from Amazon.fr but haven't heard anything since the order was placed.

Will comment when it has arrived. Anyone else preorder?

Just checked my order and it says 2nd October as the release date.

Just listening to Dreamer on vinyl for 1st time.... love it... to be honest at €18.99 for 2LP and 2CD's it is great value even it you just want it for your collection. I always loved these 2 albums and would love to find more of his post Warners releases on Vinyl.

As for post-WB releases, AFAIK its only Rave Un2, TRC, Musicology, 3121 (probable boot), Planet Earth (probable boot), LotusFlow3r/MPLSound, AOA, PlectrumElectrum. A few 12" singles/promos for other albums in between but really not as many albums pressed on vinyl from 96-15 as a fan could wish for

Nice pics! So still no release of Elixir on vinyl then. The Fnac page made it sound like it was included, even if on cd. Seems like that album's been retconned...
