Did Diamonds & Pearls (album) sell more than Michael Jackson's "Dangerous"? I read an article that Prince's smash hit album "Diamonds & Pearls" sold more copies than Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" and Madonna's "Erotica" in 1991-1992.Somehow I don't think this is true. Isn't Michael's "Dangerous" album one of the biggest sellest albums of all time? | |

It didn't sell more than Michael Jackson's DANGEROUS, but it did sell more than Madonna's EROTICA.
But Diamonds & Pearls is Prince's second biggest selling album behind Purple Rain of course.
Purple Rain did sell more than Michael Jackson's Off The Wall, BAD & Dangerous, History albums in the U.S. alone though.
DANGEROUS world wide sales: Over 35 Million
DANGEROUS U.S. sales: 7 million
----------------------------
EROTICA world wide sales: 6 million
EROTICA U.S. sales: 2 million
-----------------------------
DIAMONDS & PEARLS world wide sales: Over 6.7 million (to date)
DIAMONDS & PEARLS U.S. sales: Over 2.3 million (to date)
