There is absolutely auto-tune being used. Not because Prince can't hit the notes, but because it sounds kind of cool the way they used it. It's an effect, like delay, reverb, phase, distortion, pitch-shifting/tape modulation (Camille, Bob George). I love when he steps outside of his box. My favorite Prince era is 1982-1988, but I do love this new album! I'm just saying... | |
