COurtesy of Princevault. http://princevault.com/in...e_Bataclan
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

It was ok and not worth the 100 Euros we were scammed out of by labeling it a second show that night when aftershows (as these were called in the US) were free for NPGMC members...
The 1994 show was epic though...

The 4DaFunk bootleg of that show is really good, fantastic performance and the crowd is really into it.

I tripped on that boot a lot back in 94-95, but I realize I don't have it anymore!

My favorite contemporary show was the Monte Carlo one, though.

Those 94-95 shows with all the samples and mostly new, unreleased songs were a true return to form for Prince nod

It's true that the aftershows were free for NPGMC members on other stops on the tour (including London) but Le Bataclan was surely one of the great shows from that era?

Yeah definitely, the intensity of those shows is really incredible, such great musicians and some pretty damn brilliant material looking back on it (some of the production of the albums of that era doesn't do a lot for me but that's obviously not a problem live smile). I have a copy of the Monte Carlo concert but I haven't got around to listening to it yet, thanks for the recommendation. Were you in the crowd that night?

No I missed both. At the time I lived in North France so it was way too far from Monte Carlo (I was 16, it's not like I could travel too far by myself). But I was 1 hour by train from Paris and had family there so me and a friend tried to get an info all day, listening to the radio and shit (this was before the interwho) and un4tunately no news came before 7PM of a possible show and the next day we learned that it had happened at Bataclan. It was very frustrating, damn! I missed a LOT of Prince shows in France in my life but that's the one I really wish I had attended!
