Studio rehearsal of Somebody's Somebody is out.

I think he is doing it at Paisley. He uses his own backing vocals. It is super powerful. Look for it. Perfect sound.

This studio version is circulating for a long time now.
For those who can't get it, it sounds as the live performance he did in 1997.01.07 (Rosie O'Donnell Show, NY)...

So I went digging and just watched the Rosie show....
1) Somebody's Somebody is one of my favorite songs and video
2) Prince is beyond fine in that clip
3) Did my man slightly read Rosie when she called him Taffy ..... Omg he was like I can get gone chic 😂..... I know that moment is old but it was like damnnnnn Prince.
4) I can hear the arrangement is bit different in a nice way as this song is one I have not heard live too many times.

Beautiful song indeed.

The live studio mix is far better than the album version and goes to show how great some of these songs sound when you replace the dated drum patterns and cheesy 90s R Kelly production with a real band.

I didn't know Prince is Welsh. Did she mix him up with Tom Jones?

Agree 100%. Listen to the few tracks on Emancipation recorded with real drums compared to the rest. They are miles ahead.
