Recent Female Produced Artist Albums In the last 6 years Prince has produced 4 really good albums for Female artists.
Bria Valente Elixer. 2009 Andy Allo. Superconductor. 2012 Liv Wafrield. The Unexpected. 2014 Judith Hill. Back in Time. 2015
also a great duet with Janelle Monae. Give em what they want. 2013 and the unreleased demo with Andy Allo. U will be. In my opinion even as a demo is brilliant!!
Prince is producing some really good music. Could be argued these albums are better than some of his Prince released albums. In an ideal world what direction would you like Prince to explore in the future. He is dipping his toe in the water and seems to be more comfortable with working with other artists. However it can be argued that it is Prince in a comfortable situation of being the teacher and passing on his musical knowledge to others!!
Who would push Prince and get those creative juices going again. Working and challenging him!!!
Artists like David Byrne have always traveled and taken influences from all different culltures and musicians. Putting themselves in uncomfortable musical situations. We all know it would be great if Prince took a similar route.

I would like to see him do a Compilation album similar to 1-800-New Funk.. where he can release a full album with odds and ends he's collaborated with others that would otherwise go to the Paisley Park graveyard...

With current artists .. THEY all want to work with Prince.. why not just grab these new artists and just paint them purple for a compilation album. I think it would be awesome.. could even jointly release a solo album with it. But what do I know?

Interesting, I'd never noticed this credit on Superconductor. However the difference -based on the info we have- is that: - Superconductor: Prince acted as a co-arranger and played as a musician on each and every track, beside his few composing credits. The whole album was abolutely a collaborative effort between Andy and Prince, in a way very similar to GCS 2000 was with P and Larry. - The Unexpected: as far as we know and unless revelations are made later, Prince had no artistic input of any sort on any of the album besides composing 2 songs and arranging/playing one of those 2. His role as an exec producer seems to mean only that his staff helped with things such as studio booking, and it's also possible that he listened to the sessions ibn progress and gave maybe a second opinion, but he didn't take part in the composing/arranging/recording process of the bulk of the record. The whole album was definitely a solo effort by Liv Warfield.
