If Josh is curating them I shudder to think what he'll do to them... having vault material that he has let his Early Learning Centre 303 loose on would be worse than having no vault material ever.

We really don't know that much about the Vault, what's in it, if it's been digitized, if he re-recorded songs, erased some..

But given Pentacle's masterplan, I'd change the combination.

That is true; I remember the quote. I think Prince had toyed with the idea of releasing the Vault for a long time, and will eventually start doing it. You know, Prince is aggravating because he keeps releasing lesser new art while storing the good stuff. When he's dead, or retired, or finally opens the Vault, it will all be cool because we will have an artist who kept going forward AND all this unreleased stuff. In the end it will all be good.

I get what you're saying, but speak for yourself. I'm 40 y/o now and I want the stuff while I'm still young enough to care.

I wouldn't trust what those numbnuts said. They didn't seem to be that knowledgable; it's entirely possible most of that promised material were things we already have.

i thought of that too. maybe the videos they put up on lotusflower was all 'vault material' to them,

I've said this before, but Prince is like a demented grandpa, releasing sub-par material under the delusion that he's still making great music.
While the really great music is falling apart in the vault.

Given the choice between two options: from now on you can only listen to Prince's WB material - released and vault, OR you can only listen to post WB-releases and newly created Prince music...
