In all the bullshit bravado and postering, there is still a faint glimmer in tracks like June and Way Back Home that he's still willing to put real thoughts and emotions in to the lyrics. Now if we could have an album like that, without all the 'ain't gonna stop' and 'like a mack' stuff I think all the other pieces might fall in to place since there's no need to go dubstep then.

maybe, but why do you say you respect that? I'll answer: because everybody has a right to live their life the way they want to, right? If you're a loner, so be it. I happen to think lifelong friendships (imagine: a human life can go up to 80/90 years) are very rare. In my experience, you have different friends in different phases of your life. But that's just me. I have nothing but respect and admiration for people who are married for 60 years or more. But that kind of life isn't for everybody. So yes, I respect that.

Yes, i get it and agree with you, i'm the kind of peson that can't keep friends for a long time, so a longtime friendship is very difficult for me to have. So yes, it's a complex thing to achieve maybe.

If Prince really were to make an album like that, it could be the best album of the decade! But... He just isn't that kinda guy. He always needs to do ten things at once and spread out his talent over ten different projects. That's the way it is... Leonard Cohen said it took him a year to write Hallelujah. Prince just doesn't have the patience to do that. And all the "ooh I'm so cool" stuff is part of him as well. In the past, he gave those songs to Morris Day, but he doesn't have a Morris Day anymore. So he puts that shit on his own albums. So be it. We'll always have to take the good with the bad, the bitter with the sweet, the half baked, half finished throwaway albums with the great ones.
