If you close your eyes and you think of or hear the word Prince, what image of him comes to mind?
For me, it's the Prince of the 1999 era (pic of him sitting on top of a bass drum).

Every artist, entertainer, celebrity has their ICONIC image.

Prince was everchanging... But to me the ICONIC image of PRINCE will be the 1983-1984 era. The PURPLE ERA. The long purple trenchcoat is the ICONIC image of PRINCE.

This thread is like asking "What's the quintessential color of a banana?"

In Prince's case, it's obviously him one of the raincoats from Dirty Mind to Purple Rain.
