personally, i really like the new version of "1000 Xs & Os"

it got me thinking what other outtakes might be fun if they were re-recorded/remixed
between prince and josh with the current album's sound.

obviously this wouldn't work too well for pre 1990 material, but of some of those later

outtakes i think it would be a good fit.

my personal pick for a revisited outtake on Phase Two would be: "Player".

it has that bare bones 'demo' feel that could be turned into something really great in
Josh's hands.

i'll probably be suspended for a few weeks for suggesting this but ehm,

one of my most guilty pleasure has always been listening to the trio of

newpower madness that is "oobey doop","my tree","a positive place".

i could seriously see this being revisited by prince, where he did all of the

vocals, perhaps throw a verse or some backing to rita ora and have josh

dip it all in a thick soup of electronic madness

and since we're on the New Power Generation maxi single outtakes, i'd

like to hear Josh remix "(Can U Come Outside And) Play"

Cool. I love that Funky Nassau kinda like vibe horn line in the faster one, but I love mid tempo jazzy too and it's very funky!

it should have been included on The Vault...Old Friends 4 Sale, along with Make Believe
but i guess we can let Josh have a go at it now and see if he can fit it into the new album

All of them. Seriously speaking...Josh is the new Prince. It's like the comic book movies... someone else can take up the mantle of the name Prince. The real Prince is busy chasing 20-somethings and sending out Copyright claims and whatnot. You may as well put Josh's face on the album covers too. Josh and The Revolution, Josh and The NPG. Prince can be Josh's manager.
