For context, she REALLY liked AOA. Probably more so than any new Prince album that's been released since we got together (2001). My 4-month-old daughter pooped the first time she heard it. But today she seemed to enjoy it while she did some tummy time. My cats are indifferent.

She just had a baby and has to listen to Black Messiah 6 times a week, it's perilous to make her listen to anything.

I took her to see D'Angelo about six weeks after she had our kid. It's all good.

It's hilarious because after my friends ask about my children the next thing out of their mouths is "how is Prince?"

Like he's my brother or something....

My kids too....every family has that one uncle who's kinda but the family gatherings wouldn't be the same without him.

It's not so bad in my case but yes... eventually, if the conversation goes on long enough, my friends think of asking "how is Prince?" or "Are you still a fan?".

I don't put his music when I have company, I listen to some Prince on speakers maybe once or twice a week along with other artists.

I wised up and I keep my shame to myself these days.
