I keep coming back to this song. The groove is addictive. His voice sounds great, and the lyrics are very "Prince". | |

This is the most "Prince" attitude type wicked song on the album. An instant classic to my ears. Love the lyrical playfulness, the tone and melody of the dleivery, how he corrects himself, changes scenes to the "chariots"... the way he say the chorus through his teeth. And quite in contradiction to the review on Peach and Black, this is a very memorable track to me. I mean come on, the song SOTT is a mononote vamp over an electro funk beat. That's one of his styles. I love the percussive, low pass, whooshes that punctuate the beat, and there's humor even in that element. This song is menat to tease and taunt in an aggressive funny way.
PS.. what of Joshua Welton's past work makes everyone so sure of his style of production? Is his past work before working with Prince anywhere to check out?
