Didn't it make sense when he referred back to the pasta at the end of the song? RIP

yeah, just a wee little bit. Well, these things are necessarily subjective, there being no absolute objective opinion or response regarding how someone interprets music. HOWEVER, I meant it more in terms of the similarity being two clear standout songs on an album. Not that the songs were particularly similar.

Great and atmopheric tune. The kind of song that makes you actually feel the purple mystery. Doest flow with the earlier tracks...sounds like it belonged on a deep album Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Listen to Way Back Home then June back to back...now THAT is some nice sequencing!

Great song.. To me, it sounds like Prince reciting other peoples Facebook & Twitter posts. I know I've seen the "Sometimes I feel like I was born too late" thing before.

those electronic "flutter" noises kept reminding me of another song and finally it hit me that it's madonna's "Little Star" from ray of light. so i listened to that just now. and it's not exactly the same fluttering noise but damn, ray of light was ahead of it's time. i've listened to "little star", "mer girl" and "has to be" just now and they completely made like ray of light it's almost painful to imagine what some of these songs could sound like when produced by someone really very good at the whole 'electronic' sound. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Best song he's recorded since the '90s....No bullshit....It's that great.....

Are we not allowed to mention The Art Of Noise and 'Moments In Love' when discussing this track?

indeed, it does sound a bit like that, doesn't it? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Yeah it's stunning. Some of his best lyrical work in a long time. Vocals are on point to. Love the way he sings the first line and 'All I saw was another full moon' in particular I got two sides... and they're both friends.

This is the only track on the album that genuinely excited me, and one of only 2 or 3 that I actually liked.

This song did not make my final edit of the album. Just too boring and seems to go nowhere. The Richie Havens line is beyond cheesy.

An observation: He delivers the first line in the same way/tune as he delivers the first line in the Digital Garden off of TRC.

June is pure Prince song classic one.....this song reminds me the unreleased song 2020.....this song is Prince and not Josh touch!

It's one of those honest, inttrospective songs I've been talking about in other threads. It's great!
