Post your news and info on worldwide releases of HitNRun outside of Tidal (CD/VINYL/iTUNES etc)

We have this TV that runs news stories and advertisements at my job and today it had a HITNRUN advertisement that showed "now on Tidal and in stores September 15th".

Well its not available for order through your music distribution companies at this time. Usually we can prorder them as stores but there is no listing for it so I really don't think its coming on the 15th to stores in the USA but I hope I am wrong. They have his first two album remasters available for preorder in October but no Hitnrun. We have a store and this is through our distributors.

Oh, so that's why when I search for Prince albums on Amazon by release date For You and Prince come up first with October 16th release dates, I was wondering what that was about.

Also, the HitNRun CD release has been withdrawn from the French, UK and Canadian stores so I don't know what's going on with that.

Might just be re-releases that have the new "licensed from NPG Records" credit. I doubt WBR would just stealth-release remastered albums, especially those two.

Available on CD in Australia on Sept 18.

Heads up, on the French fan forum someone who works at FNAC said they received the CDs for release Monday and they have begun posting pictures on this thread. Also people who preordered have started getting shipping notices.

If you've had it confirmed that shops in your city will be selling it on the 15th, then that's advanced notice. I believe Bart was saying it wasn't possible for it to suddenly appear without any notice.

Didn't the Symbol album in 1992 just show up in stores one Monday morning without any warning or pre-announced release date?

Here in Canada, earlier this week, amazon.ca was showing it to be released on Sept. 14th thru Universal, and they were taking pre-orders selling it 4 $16.79. Now the page indicates "currently unavailable", but still shows Universal: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B...sm_1_fb_lk

And it doesn't show up in search results either. If you search the exact title nothing comes up. Bizarre, I've heard of a few online retail sites that were taking preorders, now suddenly say out of stock with no stock date.

Come on, shall I go back to where Mr. Knows-it-all said that this would never come out on CD? You know he did.

And the shops got it last minute anyway, they already have it but they're selling it next week (some are already selling CDs in France). So yeah, that's almost no notice...

Yep, Bart did say that it would never come out. I don't like to defend him and he's quite capable of defending himself anyway, just seemed that this one time he was referring to the no notice part, that's all.
