I still don´t get why Pussy Control is so controversial. I think other than the song´s title there isn´t anything controversial about it, it´s a song about a woman in charge of her own life, right?

Though I understand that the title itself might be misunderstood by most people, the lyrics are not vague or full of innuendo at all.

These days, there are many songs or whole albums that I don´t want my friends or neighbors to hear simply because there´s often something that makes me cringe, and I´m not talking about dirty lyrics but terrible songwriting or bad music, like for instance Art Official Cage or No More Candy 4 U etc. etc.

Just very embarrassing songs.

I've played lots of racy stuff loud in my parents' house because they had top-of-the-line expensive audio like 300 pound speakers, MacIntish Tube Amplifier, etc., my dad was an audiophile and everyone in the house loved different kinds of music.

So my brother got to play his Led Zep loud, my dad his Pink Floyd, Charles Aznavour, Wagner, my sister her Barry White, my mom her Oratorios and Requiems and me well I played Sister Jack U Off, etc. no one commented on it being lewd except one time I was listening to Crystal Ball and my mom repeated the lyrics "Expert Lover..." with noticeable amusement.

The only record I'e tried not to play are the ones with huge screams and guitar solos that go on for too long.

I'm with Warning2all on Strollin'. The production and lyrics make me cringe.

Quite a lot of my friends wouldn't 'get' the genius of If I Was Your Girlfriend, so I wouldnt draw their attention to it despite it being (actual) genius songwriting and production.

I think the song fits perfectly into the uplifting and upbeat, positive feel of the D&P album and I really like the music and lyrics to this song, but to each his own.

I dont mean to rain on your parade, man It just makes my toes curl... There must be tunes by other people that you perceive as somewhat cutesy-pie that have the same effect on you? Twee
