This means that this is an album where Josh was in control and Prince fans must be open to him going into a new direction. There is nothing much left for Prince to do himself in terms of being experimental. The only thing left is to go further than Art Official Age with the electronic influences from Josh. I'm more of a fan of Prince doing everything himself, but I'm just happy we will be getting something new. I'm sure there will be four songs that I like and a few that I'll never listen to. It doesn't sound like he feels like this is some masterpiece. He is already apologizing for it because he expects fans to be disappointed.

I like this interview, it begins to answer some questions:

Is it Josh or is it Prince? Sometimes Prince just adds vocals. Doesn't mean it's all Josh, just that on some tracks, Prince sings and that's it.

WBR? Transparent business relationship. Like many suspected, his deal with WBR is unlikely to be the traditional kind and may just be about his WB catalog. He's still free to release music the way he has done since first leaving or in new ways, I don't see how Prince would chain himself to the label again, so ignore whoever is saying they're at each other throats. WBR expected Prince to behave like Prince.

I like what Prince says about Josh, that he values his relative lack of musical culture.

Now if someone can explain to me what Josh means when he says Prince hears in WiFi? Does he mean Hi-Fi? I would think so.

Nonsense. Nothing in that article says Josh was in control (do you not know what "co-" means?) or features anything close to an apology.

Since the track list is only meaningless words at this point, it's strange.

Like he's got something to hide.

"Jughead" Josh W. remix?

One, maaaaaybe 2, more albums, P will have learned an insy weensy bit more of all that welton will have to offer and will get kicked to the curb. He will have gotten bored of welton, take what he's learned from him, and let his alarmingly short attention span move him in a totally different direction.

I understood that quote as in they enjoy a Prince's music in general, rather than a specific genre (pop / funk / rock...)

Why is everybody so all over this sing like its some holy grail. The demands others make of its appearance in a project would make u think it's like the next Purple Rain or something.

I've never heard it, but I SERIOUSLY doubt that is anywhere near to as good as people throw around about it.

I took it to mean that he hears things that are silent to many others.

But I also like your idea.

It was played during the Yahoo live stream. Did you see it? It was the slow jam Josh played for the hostess - baby making music. Very nice.

I saw it. I remember that part as well, that a song was played. I don't recall how the song sounded at all.

I noticed that about him at a soundcheck. He hears absolutely everything.

Watching him work is amazing.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
