Japanese vinyl releases?? I recently received FLAC files of apparent Japanese vinyl re-releases of Sign O The TImes, and 1999. They are far better than the Cd releases. They are louder for sure but more clear as well. I hear the backgrounds on Forever In My Life so clearly now...I hear little guitar bits in Lady Cab Driver that were no clera before.
Does anyone have any info on these releases?

2011 I believe, the same time they did the remasters on 180g for Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999 and Purple Rain.

For realsies? Damn I really want something like this, hope it's legit, tbh a SOTT remaster, even without bonus tracks, is pretty much my Prince holy grail at the moment. Yeah I know I could just get it on vinyl, but I'd have to get a new preamp and speakers and turntable and whatnot, it's a bit of a hassle. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

I realized, I have not listened to SOTT for years. Now with the improved sound, I play it a lot...never realized how much I love It's gonna Be A Beautiful Night.

That's interesting, I thought only the earlier albums up to Purple Rain were reissued on vinyl, at least that's how I remember it from the international release, was the reissue SOTT exclusive to Japan then?
