I've raised this before, and I wish I knew as he seems to have a fascination with it (the number 17).

i don't think he has a fascination with the number 17 at all. it just fits well in lyrics

since it's a three sylable number that is still small enough a quantity and also rolls

off the tongue pretty nicely.

11 would be the only other under-21 number with 3 sylables but doesn't fit into a

lot of places where a 'seventeen' fits very well.

name the 17 positions...

TS does clearly have no memory of that song that mentions 23.

Were they even born around then? (that is an excuse!)
