That is like 20 years old. It is satire, so he did not need to "sign off" on anything. It is a joke, a "play on words." Relax.

I found it very amusing.

Relax is not a term of confrontation. It is the beginning of the phrase, "Relax, there is nothing to worry about." And I am lazy enough as is, two chill pills will put me under. I have stuff to do tomorrow.

Obviously not seen as it's slapstick cartoon humour lmao. Every time you see Wile E Coyote fall off a cliff or get blown up by TNT, it's obvious they aren't 'dead'.

Now, the 'finger Prince' joke is another thing entirely.

It's an interesting story how the writers of the show managed to get so many adult jokes into Animaniacs- they used to put worse, more adult jokes in that the censors would find and leave the ones that finally made it into the show in. But the writers have said themselves that the Prince joke was the worst they did.

Maybe you spend most of your time alone and don't know this : when you say "relax" to someone, you imply the other person is agitated or upset and needs to calm down. I certainly recommend memorizing this before starting any serious relationship, might save you a few days in the doghouse eventually.

I just find the cartoon funny and hoping Prince was on board for the joke because I'm hoping he was cool with having some fun at his own expense.
