Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me please how the 7" single edit to Prine's 1989 hit "Batdance" finishes?

Does it end with the Joker laughing or with a voice that seems to say something like "a clown needs an emema"

I can only find the album version of the song on the internet. I am trying to recreate the single edit as I run a radio programme looking at the hits of the 1980s, for radio play.

If anyone can help, would be much appreciated

After "A clown needs an enema!" you hear the sound of a garden hose, and then

there's the sound of loud hammering, while a sampled voice pants "Nicky Nail... Nicky Nail..."

and it fades out.

Like the OP I'm one of those fans who never bought any of Prince's cd's so does not have the booklet to check the lyrics....
I always thought 'Batdance' a strange title for the title track to the film 'The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing' anyway.
