@Databank

I don’t doubt that you also are “an informed person about the world outside of Prince”. Whatever is interesting or not “in your book” is up to you, that doesn’t mean a topic like this should be closed in an open forum. Especially, when it opens up a discussion why Prince seem to use symbols throughout his career that some may claim to also being used by secret/closed societies, fx the Freemasons.

Well let's agree to disagree and I'm no mod anyway but my point is this:

.

Freemasons exist, Illuminatis don't. I'm open to anyone opening a thread to discuss whatever symbols Prince has used and what could have been his source of inspiration ans whether he may or not have had any ties with freemasons at any point in his life and how this adds-up or not with JW's or even the fucking CIA if you want, as long as it's based on real people and real organizations.

.

However, the thread started with the premise that Illuminatis exist.

.

If someone would start a thread like this:

"You tube is blowed up (all over the place) with Jay Z association with Santa Claus, so why is Prince even working with him?"

or

"You tube is blowed up (all over the place) with Jay Z association with the Easter Rabbit, so why is Prince even working with him?"

or

"You tube is blowed up (all over the place) with Jay Z association with the Loch Ness Monster, so why is Prince even working with him?"

I believe in that case the mods would immediately shut down the thread with the "nonsense" comment regardless of how the discussion could evolve on said thread, and I don't think many orgers would call for the thread to live on on the base of freedom of speech, hence my call for lock.

I personally dislike the practice of locking a thread for being nonsense. If people want to play by having silly conversations (that they know are silly), let them. As long as there's nothing libelous, go--have fun.

I'm unsure how to respond to illuminati-related discussions. Yes, I think the ruling committee theory is an innaccurate view of reality--but you don't need any such conspiracy to justify feeling disengaged from democratic processes. But many people do embrace such thinking, and it influences much more than just the fringes of actual politics (at least in the U.S., which is where I am). Even people who might laugh at the tinfoil hats believe in related ideas, or at least are influenced by them, perhaps at several removes from the source-loonies. I'd prefer to keep the more extreme views in the discussion, if only to point out how tied to them many others ultimately are.

It might be justified to refer this discussion to the Politics or General Discussion forums, though. As far as how P chooses to use imagery from freemasonry or from popular conceptions of real or imagined secret societies or overarching conspiracies--this is a man who has voiced chemtrail theories in interviews and has used references to "triggers" from vaccinations as well as others, so there's no denying he exhibits some serious conspiratorial thinking--that discussion would be justified in this forum.

I'm interested in your articles, by the way. My French is poor and only receptive, but I'd like a look.

I'd prefer to keep the more extreme views in the discussion, if only to point out how tied to them many others ultimately are. I see your point. Honestly I've never been in favor of censorship and I've always said let the fools speak and fight them in the agora, which is why for example I've always been a bit uncomfortable with certain limitations in the EU regarding freedom of speech. Regarding the whole Illuminati/Conspiracy thing I have to admit I'm getting sick to death of it. A few years back I saw only lunatics talking about that stuff online and now, month after month, I see more and more people whom I know aren't idiots not naive or uneducated adhering to them to a certain extent, or at least saying they may be true. I don't know why the internet is doing this to people, but I think it's getting a bit scary.

It might be justified to refer this discussion to the Politics or General Discussion forums, though. Yes, absolutely.

There are people that believe things at least as strange as the world being flat. I don't want to turn this into a P&R discussion but suffice to say - if you thought "The World is Flat" thread is amusing, hang out in P&R for awhile.

It won't be long before you'll be discussing FEMA camps, Rothschild bank ownership, aliens from Planet Zeta Reticuli, and a whole host of things that are...well........off the beaten path, so to say.

Yes. When Prince isn't in the studio he has the time to be involved in a clandestine planet ruling elite who despite not being able to put a marketing campaign together to promote his music can orchestrate wars, false flags and murder princesses for no apparent reason. Much respect. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in these meetings where they decide who to recruit. 1997 Scene 1 A table with rich white guys. Probably a fair few Jews, the odd reptilian with a yumulke perhaps. Moshe: what about this guy? Cuts to Lovesexy album cover Lizard 1: Sssss Moshe: his name is Prince and he is funky , when it comes to funk, he is a junky" Jacob: ok, he seems perfect. Scene 2 the scene opens with Prince at a gas station filling up his chopper. A car pulls up, the window rolls down. Jacob: Mr Nelson? prince: Owaaaaah! Jacob: will you help us rule the world? Prince: ain't nobody got time for dat. Jacob: we'll make it worth your while. We'll make you the greatest selling artist again. Prince: How? Jacob: We'll have Clive Davis work On your next album. Prince. Yeah, that would do it. (Jacob hands Prince a Manila folder. Prince takes out a photo) Prince: what's this? Jacob: to show your commitment to us you must kill her. (prince nods. Camera zooms to picture of Diana, Princess of Wales) End scene.

That bit was great, well done lol

off topic but its sort of sad people joke about the illuminati (its not like its called the illuminati and i highly doubt a musician like jay-z is part of it but profits from using its mystique in his identity) but are some people not stupid enough to realize there are a group of a thousand or so elites that regularly conspire against the population of the planet? admitedly the term 'conspiracy THEORY' pulled me off looking at these 'theories' for all my life because i thought it was all BS. but its sort of amazing how much this stuff is backed up by evidence. I feel really stupid buying the whole 'terroist' narrative we've been fed since 9/11. its just a coincidence that the US dollars relies on oil to survive and that we make billions of oil in these illegal middle east wars guys! This documentary about princess dianas death has been banned in the UK and USA and i highly recommend it for anyone willing to open their mind about the world we live in. The amount of contradictions with the official story will sort of you loosen you up to other places as you go deeper down the rabbit hole: https://www.youtube.com/w...-c1ouaehwg

[Edited 8/12/15 12:52pm]

What a terrible, terrible documentary. Oh look, surprise surprise - it was financed by Mohamed Al-Fayed. Can you imagine a person less impartial on this subject?

Lol. Terrible documentary? How? Tell me exactly where it is wrong. Go on.

For example we were told that Henri Paul was drunk the night he was driving the car... the blood samples extremely high concentration of carbon monoxide would mean he wouldn't of been unable to even walk if that was his. Let's also forget the fact that a former MI5 agent Richard Tomlinson saw recruitment documentation of Paul in 1993 aswell. Its all BS! Damn, I wonder why the documentary required 87 cuts to be showed in the UK yet its ok for people like David Icke to speak at Cambridge or Russell Brand have a movie in the cinema. Who it was financed by is irrelevant whats relevant is where the documentary is false, it provides ridiculous amounts of evidence for each and every one of its claims. However the official narrative is easily debunkable. LOL it was dismissed as evidence in court the fact that Diana had wrote months earlier on a note that she feels her husband plans to have her killed in a car accident.

For example in the UK most serving MP's currently are paedophiles. The police to refuse to look into the cases for those which are alive yet dead ones like the recent former PRIMINISTER who they have decided to look into have concluded that he was infact a paedo. I feel sorry for any of you that can't wrap your head around the fact that establishement cover ups are a real thing.

No-one needs your sympathy - they will rationally choose to dismiss stupid and false statements such as:

'in the UK most serving MPs currently are paedophiles' or the police "have concluded that a former Prime Minister was in fact a paedo[phile]".

Anyway, way off topic for at least a page, so please feel free to discuss in another forum.
