Why would P have worked with her?

Well sorry to break it to ya, but they did. Hope you'll be ok with that.

Most people under 40 would equally struggle to name 3 Prince hits.

Standing on other people doesn't make you any taller. In fact it makes you look very small.

eek eek eek

Macy Grey is one of the wildest, most creative and most original R&B artists of her generation. One could say Janelle Monae is the Macy Gray of the 2010's.

IDK why Macy never collaborated with Prince but it's a pity because God could it have been great!

Cassandra Wilson played for both of them if I ain't mistaken.

you really think so?....most people (R&B devotees included) couldnt name 3 Macy Gray songs, even if you gave them the names of 2

...and?

I really fail to see the relation of causality between A (what I said) and B (what u say).

I have to agree with Erik that your post was ill-mannered and disrespectful.

Whatever your professional field is, I trust that you're better at your job and more respected by your peers than Macy Gray is.

And I also assume you're a heck of a sex symbol and loads of girls and boys are begging you to sleep with them everytime u go to a party.

not ill-mannered or disrepectful at all...im entitled to voice my honest opinion (which is shared by many), that Macy Gray's voice and delivery are painful to listen to, and she is not at all attractive...and btw, yes, i am quite the sex symbol, since you veered astray, and made that your concern...

and i didnt even mention her well documented drug abuse, and erratic behavior, including going onstage nude, like someone really wanted to see her shapeless 6 foot tall body nude...were you implying Macy Gray is/was a sex symbol?...to whom or what?....so you can save your sanctimonious drivel for someone else

"Macy Gray is repulsive, obnoxious, unattractive, and not very talented.."

Not ill-mannered nor disrespectful??? eek

Gawd, I wonder who raised you eek

Thanks for replying about your sexual popularity, that gives you an edge over Macy Gray at least (though I fail to understand what her appearance has to do with her skills as an artist, come to think of it).

You still need to let us know what about your professional excellence, though wink

Oh, and I for one do not think that everyone is entitled to an opinion on everything lol

I don't wanna start a row BTW, I ain't here for that, just expressing my honest opinion regarding yours, but we're cool wink

had i said it to her face, maybe it would have been disrespectful...my parents raised me very well...my opinion on Macy Gray as a woman, and/or an alleged "artist", has no bearing whatsoever on their parenting, as i am well past the age for them to bear any responsibilty for my comments or opinions ...in fact, that statement you made is borderline "illmannered and disrepectful", and can be loosely interpreted as a juvenile "yo momma" quip...so lets not resort to priggish and self-righteous behavior, just because you disagree with an opinion about someone or something... but yes, we're cool cool

Thing is she may come here and read this, who knows...

I apologize for my comment if u think it was outta line, then smile

However, calling Macy gray an "alleged" artist is way beyond absurd.

What in fact annoys me is that thing (very common here) that consists in making a mash-up between the receiver (in that case you) and the emmission (in that case, Macy Gray).

It's anyone's prerogative to be totally insensitive, or even annoyed, by Macy Gray's work. I am myself totally annoyed by some astounding artists' works. Nevertheless I do not confuse my own personal appreciation (or lack thereof) with the absolute value of the artist's work or their level (or lack) of talent.

But yeah let's call it a day and agree to disagree and no hard feelings indeed hug
