One possibility for a comprimise to please both Prince and fans could be the consideration of dual package releases of a new alum included with a remaster album.

Why not give us a properly released WB issue of HitNRun packaged with Purple Rain remaster?

Imagine if this concept was used back in 1993 before the split and satisfied both Prince and WB when it came time to release the Hits. The Hits could have been:

Option 1 - Hits 1 & 2 x 2 CD's+ Come x 1 CD

Option 2 - Hits x1 CD , B sides x 1 CD , Come x 1 CD

I'd welcome this 'joint venture' of new and old released packages.
