I am writing a book chapter on Prince Fans- Please support my study Dear purple fam,
I am looking for interview partners, any age, gender s.o. for my new academic project about Music in/and/as faith conception. I am particulary interested in the question how Prince influenced your understanding of faith, through his musical message or your individual fam practice. For instance, how his former appoach to connect sprituality with sexuality, and then replacing sexuality with spirituality, conveting to the JW. And even on how, his musics message, may have helped you through tough times and if you would consider this as some cind of faith concept/practice.

Prince replacing sexuality with spirituality and conveting to JW, is what influenced me into listening to other bands. Thanks Prince!

Have to say, prince's take on religion over the years has been so hodge-podge, contradictory and, to a casual observor, influenced by conspiritorial readings of the bible that it's hard to take it seriously. He likes God, that's about as much as I got. | |
