Wonder why Prince delete always his videos/Post? I'm new fan since summer 2014 and I don't understand why is not possible to find his videos? Why he deleted Facebook and Twitter last year? Was Facebook created the first time for Prince or he deleted many times his profile and then recreated?
There are others artists doing the same thing? [Edited 7/30/15 14:59pm] [Edited 7/30/15 14:59pm]

I think a lot of it is to convey a "watch it while you can", "get it while it's hot" mentality. Similar to the Hit N Run concept, just on the web. . Another thought I had that never (or hasn't yet) happened is that Prince would consolidate all of his videos online on his own site -- either for viewing or for download.

Because he doesn't now how to market himself. He things getting his name in the news for doing bizzare things (like pulling his music) is more important than making his music accessable to potential new fans. I'd like to see his name in the news because he has a real plan that he follows through on. Being mysterious is okay when you're a new artist. By age 57 you should have learned how to deliver on promises. His "marketing" is the opposite of Disney's philosopy of "under promise and over deliver".

Because he doesn't believe in sharing things on youtube, but he found his whole band there.

Prince has issues with sicial networking sites making profit with artist content without redistributing a fair share (if any whare at all) to theartists. There's also the fact that he has a "hit n run" policy: get it while it's there and if u miss it then it's gone cuz it's yesterday's news and u can always go play treasure hunt on the internet to find shared copies of it. Prince doesn't treat his fans in the same way that U2 & Springsteen do.. They give their fans remasters & tons of unreleased material BOB4theFUNK
