ah yes, i forgot all about that re-recording of "if i could get ur attention" that was mentioned

a while ago. did they play it over the pa somewhere? or was it at paisley park? was prince on

vocals? if so, i'm hoping it's on the album, i've always loved that song and i'm curious to hear

what an updated version with prince on vocals sounds like.

It was played at paisley park over last christmas I believe. With prince on vocals but that could have changed since.

Whitecaps had prince on main vocals at first, according to that mojo reporter.

yeah, i know, everything can change at the drop of a hat, in prince world.

but it's nice to know that there is at least 1 new version with him on vox.

I would love to have all those songs on an album, except I'm sure Hannah has heard Revelation, Shut This Down (I saw her dance to it as PP), If I Could Get Your Attention, X's Face, and Stare. Maybe she's just saying that in the interview. I'll never understand why they hype something that has no definite release date. Kind of pointless and it makes them look stupid if it never materializes.

I'm really hoping X's Face is on it, that song deserves a place on an album.

I dont think she ment that she hadnt heard any of the tracks, just that they didnt know they were going to play the new album at the presidents party or what tracks where going to make the cut.

maybe a new electronic version of 2Y2D will be on the album It's a shame that 2Y2D still hasn't got a proper release, it should have been on PlecElec (the 3rdEyeGirl version he played live). But I'm pretty sure Revelation will be on The Hit & Run. I haven't heard Revelation in it's entirety (only snippet) but it sounds like it's a brilliant ballad. I'm also looking forward to the new version of This Could Be Us and 1000 Hugs and Kisses

What about Million Dollar Show, has that been played in full over the PA at Paisley? The bit that was played in the intro at the recent hit n run shows sounded promising

Not as far as I know. The only time I think I heard a bit of it was the stream from the Baltimore show. I did hear a remix of This Could Be Us and didn't care much for it, I do like the original though. I'm hoping Revelation will end up on this new release the most. I'm guessing he has had this planned for at least a few weeks with removing all his music from other sites. It will probably get released through Tidal only.

that's what i was thinking too. probably exclusively on Tidal for a week or so
before being shipped to the regular retail outlets like amazon, itunes etc and
hopefully even released on actual cd/lp in the future.

I hope it includes the new version of "If I Could Get Your Attention". I always really liked that song and would be interested to hear a Prince version.
