Is 'work it' still the definitive bootleg bible? Hi, I have 3 questions:
1. Is Work It (34 discs) still the definitive bootleg bible?
2. I have the work (320 kbps), is it worth the upgrade (320 kbps)?
3. If both are old, what is the new "best"? Thanks

After the last couple of years worth of leaks, there isn't really a definitive set anymore. The dude who compile Work It 2.0 recently said that he's considering making an updated version soon. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

This would be amazing In case he's reading this I may suggest that it might contain not just outtakes in rough chronological order but also full albums and tapes that have leaked, as such, stuff such as Parade demos, Box of chocolates, Exodus 1 & 2, CB, The Flesh, 10000 Wallpaper, 24 (88), etc. Still waiting for clean, complete versions of Corporate World, Flash/MC Flash and Madhouse 24 (1993), too. I know the tapes are out there! A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

I just wish the sound quality was better. Ever since I've turned my back on crappy compressed sound and gone back to CDs and vinyl, my love for music has been reignited. I can't stand the typical bootleg sound. Started to listen to what is supposed to be a very good 'dream factory' album the other day, and simply hated the sound quality. Also, FLAC or ALAC don't really help when the basic quality is so poor. Funky alien

Quality improvement, save through vague teaking on Audacity, depends on new leaks from better sources, which is not in the power of the person behind those collections I guess. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Ya, very true. Amazingly, I never bothered much about it earlier....was just glad to hear the outtakes and unreleased stuff. But as some of this stuff becomes canon because of Prince's unwillingness to release the material, the sound quality doesn't stand up to repeated listens. Funky alien
